PREPARE FOR DYEING

For each dye you need a separate tank.Use DM water preferably.

Dissolve the dye in hot water 55 –65 C (prepare a 100 gms./litre conc. solution at one time for use every day) Transfer to dye bath as and when required.

Dyeing can be done in cold water.

Better if it is done in hot water to increase production or if required by the dye(Dark shades it is recommended).

DYEING

DYEING TIME is INVERSE to the CONCENTRATION of DYE.

RECOMMENDED for 5-15 MINUTES.

LIGHT SHADES can be got in 1-2 MINUTES.

ADHESION IS BEST AT 15 MINUTES.

pH and TEMP to be MAINTAINED.

Rinse in water to remove excess colour and acid traces.

Pointers for Dyeing

Over dyeing will give you coloured powder residue on the aluminium.

Decrease the dyeing time and concentration to rectify this error.

Sometimes buffing it will help too.

Mixing of colours unless stated is not advisable.One colour absorbs faster than the other hence the shade variation.
